From time to time, current technologies present novel products for the care of pets, some of them being, at least, peculiar. It is the case of BarkBath, an original device that allows us to bathe our dog without using the shower or bath and with a minimum amount of water. We explain how this system works.
A good number of dogs fear the hour of bath, so they tend to hide, run away, cry or kick when we put them in the bathtub. For cases like these, this new device has been created, which under the name of BarkBath offers us an alternative to avoid this little ordeal. It is a kind of "vacuum cleaner" that includes an internal system to make this task easier for us.
The team has a water storage tank and a head specially designed to clean the dog's hair and skin. It works by electric current and applies the shampoo and water through its head. All this without making the slightest mess, since it collects the excess liquid in a small independent tank.
Its use is simple. We just have to load the water tank and insert the shampoo without rinsing, for sale with the equipment, in the corresponding place. Once the head is warm, we gently pass it over the animal's fur, while the nozzle applies the water and shampoo. For delicate areas such as the ears and face, the system includes a microfiber cloth that we can moisten ourselves and rub gently on these areas. According to the creators of the system, we save 50% of water compared to the traditional bathroom.
The renowned manufacturer of vacuum cleaners, Bissell, is responsible for launching this new technology, which will begin to be commercialized in May 2017. It can be purchased on the Indiegogo page for $ 99.
