Corneal Pannus: this disease occurs exclusively in the Belgian and German Sheepdog breeds and their crosses, due not only to genetic predispositions, but also to the influence of environmental agents like pollen, dust, and sunlight.

It usually appears in the beginning in the form of irritation, affecting both eyes at the same time. When the condition is more advanced, raised vascular tissue with small brown pigments may occur in the cornea and conjunctiva.

Treatment for this disease is lifelong, and can be reduced by 90% if appropriate and timely treatment is applied.

In any of these pathological cases, the success of the therapies and treatments It will depend on the early diagnosis and the slowing down of the progression of the disease, which in its greatest effect could cause the blindness irreversible to pet.
