Displays of Affection in Dogs

Often our dog, regarded as Man's Best Friend by his fidelity, he shows us affection that perhaps we do not recognize. And it is that not only when he licks us or kisses us he is telling us how much he loves us. On many occasions, thanks to his non-verbal body language He is thanking us, and is showing us his affection.

It is important that we always remember that dogs are very affectionate, and that they are always trying to make their master happy.

It is for this reason that today we bring you some displays of affection that can go unnoticed, especially by those people who are just starting out as dog owners.

Perhaps the most common display of affection and that we suddenly read more easily is licking, since most dogs are fascinated by licking their masters. Although this is an instinctive behavior, since since dogs are puppies they are licked by their mother to clean them, adult dogs show affection through their licks.

One of the most frequent demonstrations of our mascot is the wag his tail. The position of this can tell a lot about the mood of the animal. For example, if the tail is upright, it means that its state is attention, while if its tail is between the legs, the animal is scared or nervous. It is important that you pay attention to the movements of the tail, because if it wags it with great enthusiasm it means that it is very happy.

Another of the signs of affection of our dog are the moans and cries, which do not always mean pain. When the moans and cries are soft, like they are growls but very sweet, they are telling us that they love us.
