In our blog we usually insist on how harmful it is for a dog to ingest an excessive amount of canine "treats". These are high in fat, so experts recommend offering them in moderation. Following this line, we can take advantage of a special occasion to allow our four-legged friend to vary his diet. That is why we propose three recipes to make a special cake for dogs.
Although before all this, we must make an important warning, and that is that each dog has different circumstances regarding its health, so that some ingredients could be harmful. Hence it is essential consult these recipes previously with a trusted veterinarian, especially if our pet suffers from a chronic disease, is a puppy or is elderly. They are as follows:
1. Chicken and carrot cake. It is probably the easiest recipe we include in this post, as it does not require baking. Its ingredients are healthy and low in fat. First, we will grind some carrots until obtaining a smooth and natural puree; we must do it ourselves, since supermarket preparations contain artificial additives. Mix the puree with small pieces of cooked chicken and pour the result into a mold or container. Next we decorate it with small dog biscuits.
2. Banana cake. We mash two bananas and mix them with two tablespoons of honey and an egg, adding water until obtaining a homogeneous mass. Add half a tablespoon of baking powder and half a cup of peanut butter, and stir well again. Then we pour the pasta into a mold and put it in the oven preheated to 180 ºC until the surface is golden (1 hour approximately). We let it cool and decorate with cookies.
3. Apple pie. We peel three apples and chop them, making sure to remove the core and all the seeds (these damage the dog's body). We crush the fruit and then add two eggs, two tablespoons of honey, one of yeast and another of olive oil. We mix everything well until we obtain a dough that we will pour into a mold, after which we heat it in the oven until the surface is golden. We let it cool down and finally decorate the cake with dog treats.
Hi! It seems to me that the recipes are incomplete, I don't know what you use for the dough, what kind of flour.
