The skin of dogs is especially delicate, being very sensitive to cold, heat and the friction of certain substances. First of all, we must know the symptoms caused by Dry Skin. We will notice that our dog scratches continuously different areas of your body, and that a strong redness appears in them. There will probably also be scabs and our pet's coat loses volume and shine.
Before the appearance of any of these signs, we will have to go to a veterinary clinic sooner. There the specialist will carefully analyze the animal and make a diagnosis after carrying out the relevant tests. In these cases, a visual examination is usually sufficient. After this, the vet will recommend some hypoallergenic products to treat the problem.
It is with them that we have to bathe the animal, after gentle brushing to remove loose hair and dirt. There is a wide variety of shampoos in this sense, adapted to different types of fur, which we will have to apply by gently massaging the dog to stimulate blood circulation. Sometimes dry skin occurs precisely because of the excessive bathing. It is important that we bathe our dog at least every month or month and a half, and that we do so with quality products.
