Five breeds that do not shed hair

Short haired dachshund.

Sometimes, for some reasons or others, we are interested in welcoming into our home a dog that does not shed hair. Allergy is usually a compelling reason, while at other times we simply seek comfort. In any case, we find all kinds of options, as some breeds hardly shed their fur. These are five of them:

1. Dachshund. Popularly called "sausage dog", it is calm, affectionate and very familiar. There are three variations of this breed: short-haired, long-haired, and wire-haired. None of them shed hair, which makes it ideal for people with allergies.

2. Poodle. His hair is curly and dense, very soft. It needs to be brushed regularly to keep it tangle-free and remove the little dead hair that it shed. It is a cheerful, nervous and playful dog, perfect for living with children. In addition, it is very intelligent, which facilitates its training.

3. Schnauzers. With coarse and fine hair, his hair is short, although the length of the by the of its whiskers, legs and eyebrows. Despite its bearded appearance, it does shed little hair, although like most breeds it needs frequent brushing. He is usually very protective of his family, as well as somewhat territorial, but also kind and affectionate.

4.Yorkshire Terrier. This dog is very striking for his long hair, which often helps him to be the king of beauty pageants. It tangles easily, so we have to keep it clean and brush it every day. Dynamic and somewhat rebellious, this breed is very funny and intelligent.

5. Shitzu. Long-haired and shiny, much like the previous one, the Shi Tzu also requires regular brushing. Its character is also similar; He is nervous, playful and territorial, and does not like to be left home alone. Likewise, it is usually sociable with other dogs.

The article is not entirely correct, the short-haired dachshund shed hair like all short-haired dogs.
In the case of the schnauzer and the wire-haired dachshund, if they are not maintained with the correct technique (stripping), their hair will spoil and end up pulling more hair than it should.
And finally, long-haired dachshunds also lose hair, because in reality they are not long hair like Yorkshire, but medium hair, which falls off as it is renewed.
