Adult dog and puppy in a basket

When the good weather returns, all of us who live with furry animals must begin to protect them from parasites. Fleas, ticks, Mites and lice that will not hesitate to perch on them to feed, which will cause many annoyances to our friends.

Although in pet stores we will find several types of antiparasitics, such as sprays, collars or pipettes, you should always try to take care of them with natural products. Therefore, we are going to suggest the home remedies to deworm dogs more effective.

Lemon

To prevent and / or eliminate fleas and ticks, lemon is highly recommended. The sour smell will keep these parasites away of our dog, and being completely natural, it can be applied as many times as necessary.

You just have to cut a lemon in half and bring to a boil in a pot. After letting it rest overnight, the next morning we will proceed to wet the dog's hair well with this mixture.

Tea tree essential oil

The tea tree has numerous benefits: it is antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial. The smell it gives off, like lemon, will prevent parasites from landing on the furry one.

To be able to use it we have to mix 5 milliliters of essential tea tree oil, 15 milliliters of distilled water and 80 milliliters of 96º antiseptic alcohol.. Then, we will apply it to all the hair, directly to the dermis.

It is highly recommended to apply it outside the home, as it is so effective that fleas and other parasites will begin to shed very quickly.

Apple vinager

Apple cider vinegar is a widely used remedy to prevent and / or eliminate ticks. We will mix vinegar with water in equal parts and bathe the dog with this liquid, or we can choose to moisten your hair with a clean cloth.

Lavender essential oil

This wonderful oil is a powerful antiseptic and is highly recommended to prevent external parasites, since the smell it gives off is too unpleasant for them 😉. We can apply it using cotton.
