If we see that our dog has a tick, the most recommended way to remove it will be with special tweezers that we will find for sale in pet stores. These have a curved hook and a slit that will allow us to remove the parasite without having to break it.

Simply you have to hook the tick through the slit as close to the dog's skin as possible, and in an anticlockwise direction we are turning the clamp.

Put an antiparasitic pipette

If we suspect that it has or may have, the ideal would be to put a pipette for dogs. They also sell them in pet stores as well as veterinary clinics. It has a cost of around 10 euros and an effectiveness of one month, which means that for 30 days the animal will be protected from ticks and other parasites.

You just have to open it up and put it on the back of the neck (between head and back). If the furry is large, we must put a second drop in the center of the back and a third at the base of the tail.

Prevents me from having

To avoid having it again there are several things we can do, such as put an antiparasitic collar on him which last between 1 to 6 months depending on the brand, or an antiparasitic pipette.
