When we live with a long-haired dog we have to brush it daily to make it look healthy. If we get confused or if we have left it in the care of a person who has not known how to do it well, it is likely that they will end up forming knots.
Normally they can be undone, with a lot of patience, but sometimes there is no other option than to cut your hair. Therefore, we are going to explain to you how to remove knots from my dog's hair.
The first thing we have to do is touch the knots and see how they are. If the dog's hair has not received proper care, they will surely be very hard; If so, the best thing for the animal itself is to cut its hair and wait for it to grow back while it is brushed daily so that it does not get tangled again.
The situation will be different if those knots are loose. In this case we will undo them with our fingers, taking care not to harm the dog. Afterwards, we bathe him with hot water and a special dog shampoo, and rinse it off well. Then, we spread the conditioner on it and let it act for about five minutes, during which we have to keep the animal entertained, for example with a ball.
After that time, we rinse and dry the hair with a hairdryer. To end, we comb it with a metal comb and wide bristles, and we give him a treat for how well he has behaved; Or better yet, we take him for a walk to have fun and, incidentally, to exercise 😉.
