Teach him to sit

Before you start teaching him on the street, it is best to do it at home. You do not have to teach him an order without first having learned the previous one, so it is advisable to start with the 'Sit', as this is a natural position for the dog. How do you do that? Very easy:

The first thing we have to do is get in front of him with a doggie treat.

Once the dog knows the commands 'Sit' and 'Stay' well, it will be time to teach him to cross the street safely. For it, it will be necessary to put on a leash and start on streets where there are not many cars. Afterwards, we will ask you for a 'Sit', so that you sit on the sidewalk and a 'Quieto' until the traffic light turns green and we can cross.

If he tries to move or if he steps on the road, we will correct him with a firm 'No' but without shouting and we will call him to our side, giving him a treat when he is next to us.
