Is it bad to kiss the dog?
Kissing a dog has long been thought to be the worst thing to do, as they could infect us with anything. Well, this is not entirely true. In its mouth there are bacteria and microbes that keep it protected, but since it is an animal that has developed a coevolution at our side, these microorganisms have a probiotic effect on our body; that is, they improve our microbiota (which is the set of microorganisms that live inside us) and also promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, thus strengthening the immune system.
Even so, we must bear in mind that there are some of those microbes that can cause us illnesses. But it can be avoided by doing the following:
- Brush the dog daily.
- Bathe him once a month.
- Get him used to brushing his teeth several times a week.
- Avoid licking us directly in the mouth.
- Deworm it often, either with pipettes or collars.
How does the dog kiss?
This wonderful furry can be very affectionate, so much so, that as soon as he sees us that we are a little low in spirits, He will come up to us and give us the odd lick on the hands or face. These licks are the equivalent of human kisses, although this is not the only situation in which the dog licks.
