Teach the puppy to relieve yourself outside the home It can be a simple task or, on the contrary, a long and difficult process, since some dogs find it more difficult than others to acquire this habit. However, with time, patience, and positive reinforcement, we can solve this problem. We give you some tips for this.
First of all, we must bear in mind that the puppy you can't go outside until you get all the necessary vaccinations (at approximately 4 months of age). Until then we can teach him to vent in a corner that we prepare especially for it, with soaps or newspaper, located far from the places where he eats and sleeps. The best way to do this is to remain attentive during key moments (when waking up, just after eating ...), to lead the animal to this corner and reward it when relieve yourself.
Once this first phase of vaccination has finished, we will have to progressively replace the newspapers or soaps on the street. We will achieve this by taking the dog out just at those key moments we were talking about, and reward him when he lets off steam in the street. In some cases the dog quickly learns this new rule, while on other occasions it is difficult for him to adapt and continues to use the corner that we have previously set up in our house to "go to the bathroom."
If so, nothing better than increase the number of daily walks or lengthen them until the animal finally makes its depositions outside. It is very important to reward him every time he acts correctly and not to return home immediately afterwards, but to continue walking for a few more minutes.

In addition, the walks must have a fixed schedule, since routine is a great ally in this case.
