Un dog does not stop being at any time a predator, and how such, acts fiercely when faced with another unknown animal, and even more ferocious if this second animal is a cat. It is always preferable to avoid these types of encounters but it is not always possible.
I have lived this kind of tension with my own dog, a long time ago a cat began to haunt the patio of lights of the community block and without a doubt altered the normality of my pet. The cat was meowing defiantly and my dog he barked the most aggressive and when this happens, for example, at five in the morning, the encounter between the two predators becomes a community problem.
What an owner should not do is act indifferent to this problem. In the first instance, it is important to distinguish if it is a stray cat or if it is a domesticated cat, and consequently, with an owner. So we will have a point of reference to go to. In the case of a stray cat, we will direct our complaints to the town hall, which should proceed to activate the animal collection service. If the cat is domesticated and we can find the owner, exposing the problem to him may be a good option. While it is true that the cat is an independent animal that cannot be recruited, that fact does not give it the right to invade our dog's space.
In some cases, it may be necessary to isolate from our dog that space that the cat already recognizes itself. Or proceed to legal complaints, since in my case, after long and lengthy conversations with the owner of the cat, he seems to ignore the matter. And my dog, several times a day, he continues to receive visits from his cute kitten ...
