La creation of races it has normally responded to criteria of functionality and adaptation to the environment. Dogs have evolved to adapt to the environment in which they lived, but man has also put his part in the breeds that we have today, choosing specimens that were good for certain tasks such as hunting or herding.
Today there is a fashion that translates into designer dogs, and that it is about choosing breeds to make new breeds just for their aesthetic interest. They no longer respond to functional needs or an adaptation to the environment, but rather to new fashions and tastes.
Around this has caused a lot of debate, since it is not known if it is a passing fad that will only lead to more abandonments and uncontrolled breeding, but the truth is that it is news that is interesting for dog lovers. The opinion of this will depend on the vision we have of all this, but from here we are only in favor of not being marketed with dogs and that they are treated as living beings, with respect.
